Felt very relaxed and laid back. Legs felt consistent too.

Felt really tired and my legs were really tired. First mile always slow so ya. Well gotta go to work.

PM Run MP

Did my MP run this afternoon even though it was suppose to be last night cuz I did not run cuz of not feeling good and being exhausted.

It was only 4 miles cuz of the heat so its ok.

Felt in the groove once I did a quick first mile. Its always the first mile that seems to dictate the rest. I rather be fast than slower than 8 minutes I realize cuz it put me in the groove. Felt really good and open.

AM Run

I did 6 miles this morning on a hilly course. I did not feel too hot last night so I did not run. I just did not feel good at all so I did not run. Hopefully I will be able to tonight even with the million things going on so I should get some run in.

Nasty PM Run

Ran after the bad storm. Trees all over the road and the roads are a mess. We only lost power for a little bit and I got home from work just in time. Up the road lots of trees are down and Bradley Park is out of power. Its really a mess and still really humid. Did drop from 100 degrees to 72 in a matter of 5 minutes which is ridiculous.

Well I did 6 miles on my own cuz Drew was lazy.

Felt tired though a bit struggling on the turnover but I checked it and it was good. I dont know what it was maybe just cuz I worked all day it happens like that most of the time.

Muggy AM Run

I pretty tired from last night but had to get an early run in cuz it was going to be really hot today and storm so I have atleast one run in before work and before storms.

Felt really good bit slow toward the beginning then picked up later. Saw Cattallano and Tara along the way too woot woot. Drew has biked in the mornings with me now and runs the afternoons so its good.

Late PM Run

Did the PM run at about 8:15 at night cuz its been above 100 all day and was still 85 with a heat index in the 90s so it was rather humid. I felt really amazing though running. Probably the best I have all summer so far. I felt really loose and flexible. I found myself going so fast that I told myself to tone it back becuz their is a time and place for everything and good runs stay good runs and you dont need to over do it. I really felt amazing though. Stretching I felt flexible than ever.

I was holding myself back a bit toward the end but I was originally on pace to be in the 40s but didnt want to ruin it. Did strides in the 2nd to last mile to help things. Turnover was good too. Overall amazing run I dont care how hot it was.

AM Run

Legs still felt a bit tired but it was not bad at all takes me about a mile or two to get the legs going a bit faster. That is about it gonna be hot so going to wait til late tonight to get another run in. Brittany is at orientation at New Paltz the next 3 days woot woot good stuff.

Long Run Sundays

Time: 1 hour 39 minutes and 14 seconds

I did 13 miles so I could end up at an even 60 for the week. Felt pretty good. Legs started to really hurt around the 8-9 mile part but my breathing wasn't heavy at all so cardiovascullarly I am good. I feel pretty good now too not that tired. It was 45 degrees when I began this morning and when I finished it was like 65 degrees. Nice change.

PM Run

Ran 4 miles nice and easy with Drew. Felt pretty good just preparing for tomorrows long run and getting ready tonight for Brittany's graduation and then party tomorrow. Otherwise the legs feel good.

AM Run

Did 6 miles this morning becuz I will have lil time tonight after I get off from work and heading to Brittany's graduation.

Legs felt really tired in the last two miles just gonna hydrate a lot at work and then run 4 miles easy afterwards. Then long run tomorrow.

PM Run

Ran without looking at the watch the entire time just to see how good I was pacing myself. Started a bit earlier than usual right after the movie which was sweet by the way cuz Steve Carrell is the man.

Ran 6 miles really smooth and collective too. Legs felt good and now getting used to going into the wind in the last mile and a half.

Exhausted AM Run

Well I got back from the dance last night which last 7 hours at like 130 and got to sleep by 2. So tired. Woke up for a run this morning around 9 and was just so tired.

Not bad for running the last mile into the wind and the first mile being 8:50. So tired just felt like I was sprinting running at a 7:50 mile pace lol. Well gonna run lata and c how that works too. Evan Almighty came out today woot woot gonna go c that.

Started out pretty good and then died basically in the last mile or two. Just did not feel good at all. Got to work today then out to lunch for senior day and then senior dinner dance all night so this should be the last run I miss for a while barring anything else.

PM Run

Did the PM run after work today with Drew and Steffi biking.

Went 6 miles a little bit different from the other one. A bit more hilly. Felt really tired toward the last mile and a half to a mile left. It was all into the wind the last 3 miles too so that didnt help.

AM Run

Pissed that I missed last nights run becuz of it being 95 all day and then stormed and it got too dark. So I was really mad cuz I knew I was going to miss Thursday's run.

I did 6 miles to make up some mileage. Felt really good. Drew biked and other runs I had Brittany or Steffi bike or Drew run. Felt good though to have someone there. It is a lot easier.

Felt pretty good. Started out a bit sluggish but then once I got down the one hill my hips opened up and I was able to drive my legs forward more with ease. Felt pretty comfortable the entire way after that. Once you get locked in you locked in.

Long Sunday Run

Time: 1 hour and 17 minutes

2 minutes slower than last Sunday. It was a bout 10 degrees warmer this Sunday and I woke up to run 2 hours earlier this Sunday also. Legs felt pretty good at the beginning and felt worked over at about half way. Once I got to the 7-8 mile I felt like I was a bit faster again and then the last mile was a little bit of a struggle toward the end since it ends on a hill almost. Otherwise it was good need to drink lots of water.

Total mileage for the week is 48 miles 2 short of last week which is ok cuz I am doing my best. Start boosting it up this week coming up.

Last mile was a bit faster than the rest cuz I felt good toward the end and it was 5 miles just cuz I could use the shorter run in the afternoon today. Felt really good though.

I did 6 miles this afternoon in 44:12. Felt really good. Enough said felt wonderful and tomorrow night is movie night so I may not get another run in ugh and Saturday Im working all morning and afternoon so its tough lately.

Went to work then took Brittany out for lunch and ate like a huge meal.

Rainy PM Run

Did the run around 5ish when the storm was almost over and then it got hot immediately right after wonderful timing. 5 miles.

Felt amazing for some reason and just kept going. I am going to miss tomorrow mornings run becuz I have to work 7-12 and its impossible to get up any earlier and shower and eat and stuff before 7. Which really stinks cuz I dont wanna miss a day cuz Im gonna miss saturday morning run also cuz I work 7-2. Well I felt good and even better when I finished.

Felt a bit rested more this morning even though I slept a little less. Felt pretty comfortable did about 7:40 miles which seem to be the sweet spot for me. Otherwise I felt great.

AM Run

Every morning no matter how much sleep I get I feel more extremely exhausted than the last morning. Today my legs felt so exhausted it was hard to keep an 8 minute mile pace and all week last night was my longest night of sleep of 10 hours and it felt like such a struggle.

First mile was about 8:15 I definitely could not go any faster but 9 minute mile felt comfortable. Second mile was 8:10ish and that is the fast part with no hills so I basically got slower. Third mile I forced myself to go a little faster and hit like 7:45 and was out of breath and last mile was about 7 something which it felt like I was going a 4 minute mile. I was just trying to make up the ten seconds and I knew that I was extremely tired and these morning runs are not easy anymore becuz 8 minute mile pace is not easy to hold for me anymore it is just too much.

No matter how much sleep or food or what I did the day before each morning I am getting more exhausted and today was proof atleast at the beginning. I need to find out some way that I do not have to take a nap right now after 10 hours of sleep.

Long Run Sunday

Went 10 miles on a pretty hilly course but there isn't a road around here that does not have hills so you can't avoid it.

Felt a bit slow at the beginning and the beginning was tougher than the end becuz there is about 7 hills in the first 5 miles and only 4 in the second half so it is a bit easier once you reach that second half. Once I got rolling I was good. Felt like I could have gone that pace for another 5 or more miles.

Total Milege for the week has hit 50. Most that I have done.

AM Run

Did not get a chance to run last night due to it being extremely hot and my leg still hurt so decided that it was gonna be more pain then benefit.

I did run this morning and my leg left a lot betta. I did 5 miles cuz I don't know if I am going to get in the PM run since I work 2-9 today. Really sucks wish today was the extremely hot day.

Anyways the time was 36:05 and I felt pretty good. I always feel a bit exhausted starting the runs but once I get into them I feel quite comfortable. Hopefully I will be able to add something later.

AM Run

Felt absolutely exhausted the entire time. Just can not get rid of the swelling in my left knee. Using ice does not seem to take it down at all. I do not feel it when I am running but once I am done and stretch and I feel it with every step I take walking. It has felt better. I am going to try my ice. It is at like the base of my knee and then goes around to the back of the calf and then locks up the knee sometimes.

Warm PM Run

Ran by myself today over at the high school. Ran the varsity course twice so its about 5.2 miles. Time was 38:30. Felt a lot better this afternoon than I did this morning running. I put new soles in my shoes and I did not have to run on pavement so my knee feels a lot better. Maybe my shoes are starting to wear out because I have had them since March. Just never had shoes run out that fast or maybe I just wear out the sole of the shoe more than anything else. I do not know. See how it feels tomorrow. Felt good though a little sluggish in the middle but other than that was a good run.

AM Run

Went a bit faster today. Woke up really sore and hurting in my left knee. It hurt the entire way like the inside of the leg down toward the side of the calf. I am doing exercises again. What was weird was that the higher the turnover the more it hurt. The faster I went the less it hurt. Could also just be I have never trained on pavement before well only 3 times a week normally and it wasn't double days too. Maybe cuz the pavement is uneven and the outside foot my left one gets sloped down is possible too. Maybe I will head to the high school on the old varsity track just to get off the pavement.

Amazing PM Run

Drew came over for the run. 5 miles. Very nice outside. Ran really well felt really good. Not used to pavement so much. I can feel it a bit on the shins and in my knees. Keeping the turnover high and everything. Gotta run though stretch shower eat concert. WOOT WOOT AMAZING OUTSIDE!!

Cold AM Run

Started out a little bit faster today cuz I was freezing and wanted to warm up so that is where a lot of the difference is. It was pretty nice. Legs felt loose and everything. By the way I do the same 4 mile run every morning out and back so its comparable. Now I have to get ready for work at 12 get off at 5 pick up Drew get changed and then run the 5 miles then stretch take a shower eat and be at Brittanys last concert by 7. Crossing my fingers.

Hot and Humid PM Run

Was a nice 5 mile run and Drew ran with me and it makes the time go by so much faster when u run with someone. Atleast I will only have to wait until he gets out of high school another 2 weeks until it gets easier mentally. Felt really good. First 2 miles were rather slow then we picked it up a bit in the 3rd mile and 4th and was nice and easy coming in. Was rather humid though so sweating alot. Felt good though.

Run was very nice. Still had problems with going slow. At one point I was barely moving almost shuffling my feet for an entire half mile and I still ended up going around 7:30 mile. Going to stretch and then be ready for the pm run.

Mikes Program Begins Today

Program begins today....so xc begins today...

Ran the 4 mile am run and there is no pm run today.
Ran to the white house and back exactly 4 miles pretty sweet.

Mile 3-7:30
Mile 4-7:30ish

Mike told me that the easy runs should be 8 minute mile pace. It was actually really uncomfortable trying to go the 8 minute mile pace. I felt terrible the first mile trying to go 8 minutes. My body just wanted to go faster naturally and even though I thought I was slowing below down for the next mile to hit 8 minutes it was getting faster. I felt I was putting more effort into going slower at 8 minute mile pace than I was just naturally running easy. I will have to get used to it because I am going to need the mileage and they need to be a rather easy pace. I am really excited this is where it all begins....
